The Vineyards (The Extended Family)

Mattschoss Vineyard

On the 2nd March 1983 all of the Old Shiraz was completely underwater during the 'big flood'. Roger has his own little label (20 cases) called 'Bucklands Estate' mostly drunk whilst bowling and at footy club drinking sessions. The North Para river dissects the vineyard in 2, which provides additional alluvial soils.

Key Fruit Characteristics:

Roger's fruit has great colour each year. Its best characterised by deep, rich and layered fruit flavours which always make very powerful and intense wines. The sort of wines the Barossa made its reputation on.
