The Vineyards (The Extended Family)

Materne 'Quarry' Vineyard

This vineyard is totally isolated and sits on the very fringe of the north western Barossa. It is a sheltered site within a vast expanse of wheat and barley crops. Once hidden away and unkempt, David and Milton Materne have nurtured it back to life.

Key Fruit Characteristics

This vineyard represents an outpost of the Barossa - it's located about as far north west as is planted. Neon black, the wine we make from this property has scents of truffle, leather and prunes with a silken, understated richness. An exceptional vineyard source.
